Jameson & Ginger

In anticipation of the upcoming St. Patrick's Day celebrations, we thought we would give you an Irish cocktail to impress your friends and enjoy over the weekend. Although not green in color, this cocktail uses Irish Whiskey and freshly muddled ginger to give you an elevated version of the classic 'Rye Ginger.'

What You'll Need:

  • Cutting Board
  • Knife
  • Cocktail Shaker
  • Muddler
  • Shot Glass
  • Strainer

Step One:

Cut four to five rounds of ginger from the ginger root and slice those round in half. Then add them to your shaker cup.

Muddle these ingredient using your muddler, making sure you draw the juices and oils out of the lemon and ginger.

Step Five:

Place the lid on your shaker cup and shake your cocktail until the outside of the cup is cold throughout, ensuring the ingredients are mixed and chilled from the ice.

Step Six:

Strain mixture into a rocks glass and serve with lemon rind. I prefer to serve this drink without ice, so it doesn't get watered down as the ice melts, but feel free to add some if you like your drinks really cold.
